Paramount Australia has introduced a purpose-built shoppable series, The Great Aussie Christmas Presented By Bunnings Warehouse, hosted by Matty J and Laura Byrne.
Built for connected TV, the series uses Paramount’s Pause To Shop feature, powered by KERV.ai’s Moment Match Engine, letting viewers pause an episode and shop relevant Bunnings products surfacing in the moment, without leaving the show.
The series follows four families preparing for their first big Christmas at home, each tackling a different space, a tired front yard, an overcrowded backyard, an unfinished entertaining area or a home not yet feeling festive.
Tamar Hovagimian, director of national advertising partnerships at Paramount Australia, said the series reflects what content partnerships can achieve.
“The partnership with Bunnings is a standout example of content partnerships at their best, putting the brand at the heart of the experience while delivering genuine value to viewers,” she said.
Diane Ho, national digital sales director at Paramount Australia, said the format represents a shift in how streaming content can work.
“This exciting partnership showcases the next evolution of streaming, where content doesn’t just inspire action, it enables it,” she said.
Justine Mills, director of marketing and retail media at Bunnings, said the series gives customers practical ways to prepare their homes for the season.
“Through The Great Aussie Christmas, we’re showing customers practical, achievable ways to transform their spaces, while making it easier than ever to shop the products they discover along the way,” she said.
The series was developed with PHD and OM Content, leading strategy and delivery.
Ryan Ambrose, head of media partnerships (Melbourne) at PHD, said the format reflects a broader shift in branded entertainment.
“By combining shoppable technology with integrated storytelling, we’re evolving traditional branded entertainment into a more connected experience, creating a seamless path from inspiration to purchase,” he said.
The four-part series streams on 10 from Sunday, November 1, airs in full on Channel 10 on Wednesday, November 25 at 8:30pm, and lands on Paramount+ from Thursday, November 26.
